Toronto-based pianist Emily Rho is a performer, presenter, and educator whose core mission as an artist is to connect people through music. It is this mission that inspires all her performance, teaching, and business endeavours, and she finds joy in providing connective musical experiences through the positions she holds.
Emily is an experienced performer and speaker in-person and virtually. She has frequently performed at venues and festivals including the CBC Glenn Gould Studio, Toronto Summer Music Festival, Koerner Hall, and Eckhardt-Gramatté National Music Competition, CBC Radio, among others.
Alongside her performing career, Emily is the Co-Director of Toronto’s Pocket Concerts, which provides intimate music experiences in alternative venues such as homes and workplaces. As an educator, Emily is a faculty member at the Royal Conservatory of Music where she serves as a chamber music instructor and an adjudicator for the Glenn Gould School.
Beyond music, Emily is a service design consultant building human-centred and innovative solutions for clients across industries. Concurrently, Emily is pursuing studies in Strategic Foresight and Innovation at OCAD University where she is a Master of Design candidate.
